Nelda Jane Blount Conger, 82, of Tifton passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Oaky Grove Church in Berrien County with the Rev. Talmadge Gilliard and the Rev. Johnny Guy officiating. Mrs. Conger will be laid to rest at Oaky Grove Church Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Conger will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Jason Conger, Jamie Conger, Edward Blount, Calloway Nichols, Henry Nichols and Jim Conger will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 6, 1935 in Berrien County, Mrs. Conger was the daughter of the late Jessie Blount and Irene Blount. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Leonard Conger, who passed away in 2014; two sisters; and two brothers. She was a homemaker and a member of Oaky Grove Church in Berrien County.
Mrs. Conger is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Rhonda Conger of Tifton; two grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Amie Conger and Jamie and Ashley Conger; and six great-grandchildren, Lexy, Belle, Zoe, Bodhi, London and Kassie.
