Mrs. Woon Kwai Loo, beloved wife of the late Hing Shek Loo, entered into rest on Wednesday,
February 07, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Storey Chapel,
First Baptist Church of Augusta, with the Rev. Chip Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at
Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Loo, a native of Canton, China, was a member and past president of the Chinese Women’s
Club and a member of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. She and her husband
were the owners of Kam Lee Laundry and Dry Cleaners, as well as the co-owners of the Golden
Dragon Restaurant. Mrs. Loo also attended the Chinese Sunday school at First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Grant Loo (Shuishan), her daughter, Sue Leung (Robert), her
brothers, Hin Fai Cheung and Buddy Jeun (Juliana), her sister, Lynne Woo, her grandchildren,
Mackenzie and Ashley Loo and Dennis and Carolyn Leung, and two great grandchildren, Ethan
and Ellie Leung.
Pallbearers will be her grandson Dennis Leung, nephews Kent Woo, Nelson Woo, Keith Woo,
Eugene Woo, Dock Cheung, and family friends Gary Tom and Kenneth Woo.
The family will receive friends at Platt’s funeral home on Sunday evening, February 11, 2018
from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
