FALL RIVER…Doreen J. (Salisbury) Dumont, 72, of Fall River, formerly of Swansea, passed away January 29, 2018 at Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport, MA.
She was the widow of Joseph E. Dumont.
Born in Swansea, she was a daughter of the late George and Emily (Scholes) Salisbury.
Mrs. Dumont was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Swansea and had worked in Quality Control at the former Aberdine Manufacturing for over 30 years prior to her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was a dear friend to many and will be missed.
Survivors include her son: Joseph E. Dumont and his wife Alexandra of Newbury, MA; her daughter: Dr. Georgette Dumont and her husband Dr. George Candler of Jacksonville Beach, FL; her grandchildren: Olivia Rose Dumont and Jack Dumont; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helene Sardinha, Winifred Andreozzi, Ronald, Richard and William Turner.
No services are scheduled for Mrs. Dumont. Arrangements are entrusted to South Coast Funeral Home 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723.
