Robert W. Whalen, age 70, of Plymouth, formerly of Dorchester passed away suddenly February 4th at home. Born in Chinteague, VA, he was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Boston Technical High School. He worked for many years as a Lineman for Verizon before retiring. Robert enjoyed fishing, skiing, reading, cooking and loved all animals, especially dogs.
Son of the late Anne & Robert Whalen. Brother of Maureen T. Whalen of Milton and the late Susan A. and James O. Kelly. Uncle of Jana P. Kelly O’Neill and her husband Shane of Weymouth, Thomas J. Kelly, James O. Kelly and Patrick T. Donovan all of Milton and Liam P. Kelly of CO. Nephew of Patrick and Lorraine Flaherty of Quincy. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton Monday morning at 10:30. Visiting hours omitted. Burial VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
