Lois Eileen Haney, age 92, passed away on February 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born, raised, and educated in Greensboro, PA where she met her husband Bernard. After they were married they settled in Monaca, PA where they started a family. Eileen worked in retail clothing for most of her life. She moved to S. Weymouth in 1981 in order to be closer to her family. Eileen was proud to serve her community and church by teaching Sunday school for over 50 years. She has also been an active member of the South Weymouth Church of the Nazarene since she moved to Weymouth. The only thing in Eileen’s life that she cherished as much as her faith, was her family.
Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband Bernard Haney, her brother James Riggen, and sisters Constance Hunter and Patricia Markevich. She is survived by her loving son James Haney and his wife Beverley, her cherished grandchildren Kristina Lantz of Pella, Iowa, Nicole Thomas of New York, NY, and Vincent Haney of Manchester, NH. Eileen is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and her siblings Mona Lee Swift, Nancy Soon, and William Harding.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the funeral service in honor of Eileen’s life which will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 at the South Weymouth Church of the Nazarene located at 385 Ralph Talbot St. S. Weymouth, MA and will begin at 11AM. A private committal service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the South Weymouth Church of the Nazarene at the above address.
