Obituary

Gail F. (Sullivan) O’Neill, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Tuesday November 1, 2005, at Epoch Nursing Home in Melrose following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 64 years old.

Gail was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1959. She has worked for more than 25 years as a Lunch Monitor at the Harvard/Kent School in Charlestown until her failing health 5 years ago.

Gail is the beloved wife of Robert “Pots” O’Neill. She is the most devoted mother of Robert W. and Phillip E. O’Neill. Gail is the loving sister of Edward Sullivan of Florida, Philip Sullivan of Jamaica Plain, Mary Curry of Melrose, Robert Sullivan of Weymouth, Beverly Gibbons of Charlestown and the late William Sullivan. She is also the loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Gail’s Funeral will be held on Friday November 4, 2005, from the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, at 9 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Catherine’s Church, 49 Vine Street, Charlestown, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleumm, Malden, MA.
