Martha Nell Dorminy Morrison, 94, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Pruitt Health of Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held 9 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the A. S. Dorminy Family Cemetery, in Ben Hill County, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating.
Mrs. Morrison was born November 24, 1923, in Osierfield, Georgia, to the late James Walter & Ludie Virden Dorminy. She was a 1940 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. While living in the Fort Lauderdale & Hollywood, Florida area, Mrs. Morrison managed a dress shop for over 40 years. After moving back to Fitzgerald, she attended Sturgeon Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Lyons of Plantation, Florida; two grandsons: Sean & Dr. Lori Lyons of Southwest Ranches, Florida and Robert Ty Lyons of Sunrise, Florida and two great-grandsons: Stone Lyons and Sawyer Lyons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Morrison; two brothers, Jim E. Dorminy and Troy Dorminy and three sisters: Louise Williams, Ruth Ann Dorminy and Grace Troupe.
