Annunziata (Rosatone) Rizzo of Medford died on Monday, February 5, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. Born and raised in Prezza, Abruzzi, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria Giuseppa (Ferrelli) Rosatone. Annunziata came to the U.S. at the age of 12 and settled in Medford, where she lived the rest of her life.
Annunziata was the beloved wife of the late Amabile V. "Bill" Rizzo, and the devoted mother of Gino Rizzo and his wife Kathleen of Wilmington, and Anthony Rizzo of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of David and Gina Rizzo, and loving great grandmother of Sean Rizzo. Annunziata was the dear sister of Ines Moquin of Lynn, the late Antonio Rosatone, and is survived by several loving nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, February 9 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Thursday, February 8, from 4 through 8 PM.
