Mrs. Mary Ann (Lubs) Chalmers, a resident of Andover and beloved wife of Richard Chalmers, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence on Sunday, February 4, 2018. She was 71 years old.
Born in Michigan City, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond K. and Muriel Lubs. She graduated form the South Central High School in Indiana, class of 1964 and attended Purdue University in North Central Indiana. Mrs. Chalmers had worked many years as a Police Dispatcher for the Valparaiso Police Department in Indiana and had been employed by the Supreme Council of Masons in Lexington. In her spare time, Mrs. Chalmers enjoyed Reading, going out for dinner and going on long drives. Above all, she loved being with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her husband, Richard, she is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law; Shawn R. and his wife Diana G. Williams of Andover, grand-sons; Joshua and Carter Williams, both of Andover and nieces and nephews; Marcie Lubs of Tennessee and Heather Brenton, Tina Lubs and David J. Lubs, Jr., all of Indiana. She was also the sister of the late Raymond Lubs and David Lubs.
Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 9 to 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
