EAST BROOKFIELD – Anne M. Los, 75, died Sunday, February 4, at her home after a long illness; she was surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves her devoted husband of 38 years, Paul M. Los; her children, Kathleen DeBartolomeis and her husband James of Charlton; Laurie Griggs and her husband Pat George of Spencer; William Griggs and his wife Marylynn of Monson; Christopher Paine and his wife Kelly of East Brookfield; Kimberly Los-Brown of East Brookfield; Megan Los of Auburn; Stephanie Chambers and her husband Kyle of Oklahoma City; her brother, Paul Chaffee and his wife Beverly of Buffalo, Wyoming; her 12 beloved grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Born in Charlton, she was the daughter of Earl and Lillian (Bercume) Chaffee. She spent her childhood years in West Millbury and Leicester. A local entrepreneur who retired in 2013, Anne was the business owner of Hilltop Farm Custom Homes, Podunk Flower & Gift Shoppe and Los’ Ceramics. She was a graduate of Millbury High School.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in East Brookfield where she was a Eucharistic minister and also volunteered florist services for Christmas and Easter.
She was a devoted wife and mother, and her biggest joy was her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at her Cape Cod home, day trips with her husband and collecting cookbooks. She was a Red Sox fan and avidly watched Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
The Funeral will be held Friday, February 9, from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11 am in St. John the Baptist Church, North Brookfield Road, East Brookfield. Burial will take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 pm in the funeral home.
