Obituary

Robert J. Garrity, Bob, will be remembered as a man that unabashedly loved his family. He was the center of attention at parties - loud, humorous, and friendly - but his outgoing nature didn't overshadow his sentimentality. He lived life to collect memories and tell stories that he often repeated for the 100th time ("well, here's 101"). He enjoyed simple pleasures - Dunkin Donuts coffee (and donuts despite his family's scolding), the purr of a Harley Davidson, a good song in the radio, Brigham's vanilla ice cream, Cape Cod beaches, and working alongside his Dad.

He adored his daughters, and often boasted about how proud of them he was. He called them just to "shoot the breeze" almost as much as he pocket dialed them. Bob, lovingly referred to as Bobby by his younger sister Donna, was promoted to Papa in 2009. He adored his grandson and granddaughter. He showered them with compliments, hugs, kisses and took genuine joy in their excitement of childhood accomplishments.

He will be deeply missed by many, and remembered with love and fond memories.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Megan K. Boland and her husband, Kevin of Warrenton, VA; Maura C. Garrity of Braintree; his loving grandchildren; his ex-wife and friend Kathleen of Walpole; his sister Donna Fata and her husband Bob, as well as his three nephews: Bobby, Brian, and Chris all of Norwood.
