Christine A. Gallop, 59, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at home. She was the daughter of the late William G. and Beatrice M. (Brayton) Gallop.
Ms. Gallop was born in New Bedford and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She worked in the business office at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, New Bedford for over 40 years. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and cheering on the Bay Sox, New Bedford. She especially treasured her many world travels with her late aunt, Irene Brayton.
Survivors include her 2 brothers: William G. Gallop, Jr. and his wife Marylou of AZ and George E. Gallop of New Bedford; and a niece: Jennifer Corey-Figlioli and her husband Shawn of E. Freetown.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, from 9-10:30 A.M., prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
