Barbara Jean Quiles, 72, of New Port Richey, FL entered into rest February 2, 2018 surrounded by her family at Medical Center of Trinity. Born on June 6, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late James and Charlotte Waln. She was a lover of the Boston Red Sox, Gunsmoke, and gameshows. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially loved telling jokes to her daughters and granddaughters, and challenging her brain with crossword puzzles and word searches. She had a fondness for oldies music and loved to dance. Surviving are: her husband of 53 years, Eduardo Quiles-Matos, four children: Barbara Munoz of Brighton; Dee Rivera and her husband Noel of Taunton; Eduardo Quiles, Jr. of Boston; and Carlo Quiles and his wife Lucy of Medway; and sister Edith Vidsens of MD. There are nine grandchildren, Nicholas Tirado-Quiles, Amanda Cruz, Angel Cruz, Carlos Quiles, Jr., Jessinia Quiles, Jocelyn Fightmaster, Vernonica Munoz, Christina Munoz, and Carmen Quiles; seven great-grandchildren Mason Quiles, Jaxson Crowley, Mateo Cruz, Jabdiel Vazquez, Travis Fightmaster, Jr., Laylah Cruz, and Isabella Quiles, and an extended host of nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Wednesday February 7 from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church 169 Cummins Highway Roslindale on Thursday February 8 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment St. Michael Cemetery.
