Eugeniusz (Eugene) Kaczmarczyk, 79, of Worcester, died Friday February 2, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving children. His wife, Wladyslawa (Zysk) Kaczmarczyk died in 2008.
He leaves his children, a son, Mark Kaczmarczyk, two daughters, Anna Szymczak and her husband Thaddeus and Alicia Sobocinski and her husband, Thomas, four grandchildren, Anthony and Veronica Szymczak and Michael and Krystiana Sobocinski, three sisters, Zosia Gortatowski, Marianna Teresa Grodzki and Regina Szydlik. Eugeniusz was born and raised in Poland, a son of Jozef and Teodora (Ropiak) Kaczmarczyk and has lived in Worcester since 1982.
Mr. Kaczmarczyk worked at the College of the Holy Cross. He always spoke highly of the wonderful people he worked with at the college. Previously he was employed with National Envelope Corporation. Before coming to the United States, he was a heavy equipment operator and a professional driver in Poland. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, a member of the St. Mary's Boosters and the church choir. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday February 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. The funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. The burial ceremony will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
