Janina “Jane” H. (Durej) Haneck, age 95, passed away on Jan. 29, 2018 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 4, 1922 in Chicopee, a daughter of the late Wojciech and Malgozala (Konieszna) Durej. Jane worked as a secretary for Westing House for many years before she retired. She loved cooking and dancing. She leaves her loving husband of 62 years, Frederick J. Haneck of Chicopee. She was predeceased by three brothers John, Joe and Frank Durej. Calling hours will be held at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, on the morning of the funeral, Wed. Feb. 7, 2018, from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St Anthony of Padua Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St Stanislaus Cemetery.
