Robert S. "Robbie" Oris, Jr., 36, of New Bedford died unexpectedly on Tuesday January 30, 2018. He was the lifelong partner of Amanda Sharp and proud father, who so loved his two daughters, Arianna Oris and Anyce Oris.
A lifelong resident of New Bedford, he was the son of Robert Oris, Michelle Rocha and her companion Eddie Martin, Mark and Bonita Correia, and Doreen Oris.
Robbie attended Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School with the focus in welding.
Robbie enjoyed most being with Amanda, his two daughters, and family. He loved music, dirt bike riding, and cars. He loved the cold and winter months where he could wear his sweat suits and boots. He had a good sense of style and loved his Air Maxx 95's. Robbie enjoyed reminiscing about old times with family and friends. He loved talking about cars with his oldest daughter Ari and playing Uno and Trouble with his youngest daughter Anyce.
In addition to his lifelong partner, his daughters, and his parents, he is survived by his brothers Gregory Oris and Charles Correia of New Bedford; his sisters Kristal Keogh and husband John of New Jersey, Chylee Correia and Cayla Correia of New Bedford, five step-siblings Ebony Dowell, Rashad Coleman, Richard Kirby, Paul Kirby, and Branden Miller; his grandmother, Cynthia Rocha Debarros; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins from Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Connecticut. He also loved his godchildren, Cali Correia, Brilynn Gunderway, and Jayla Correia.
He was the grandson of the late Andrew and Shirley Oris of New Jersey, Henry Correia and Irene Wheeler of New Bedford, and Mary Mendonca of New Bedford.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday February 5, 2018 at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will held on Sunday February 4, 2018 from 1-5 PM.
