Obituary

Tilton- Andrew (Andy) F. Deselle, 81 died February 1, 2018 at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton, having lived a long and joyous life.
He was born in Manchester on January 27, 1937 the son of Albert and Helen (Hendzel) Deselle. Andy graduated from West high school, Manchester, NH. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He had been a member of Intervale Country Club where he enjoyed golf in the Twilight League. He also held membership in the League of One Thousand Men of the Sister’s of the Precious Blood Monastery where he took pride in submitting prayer requests and lighting candles for important events in the lives of his loved ones.
Andy was a loyal New England sports fan and shared this love with his son and grandkids. Andy was a skilled cribbage player. He enjoyed his Polish heritage including the food and Polka music and took pride when a Polish Pope was selected.
Prior to his retirement he was a salesman for Acosta Foods in Massachusetts and enjoyed his work traveling throughout NH to grocery stores putting a smile on people’s faces with his jokes and joyful nature. Andy had many favorite eateries but his most favorite of all was Poor Boys Diner in Derry, NH, where he made many friends and enjoyed going for breakfast with his brother, Joe.
Andy especially enjoyed time with family and all those he loved. He was well known and adored for his easy-going nature and sense of humor.

Family members include one son, Andrew E. Deselle, his wife, Farrah and children, Liam and Lauren of Amherst, his partner and longtime companion, Catherine Audet and her daughter, Carey Oak and her husband, Phil and children Alida and Camron of Stratham, one sister-in-law, Carol Deselle of Manchester, his cousin Frances Taylor of Franklin Square, NY and his former wife, Barbara Deselle of Manchester.
He was predeceased by his companion, Catherine’s son, Michael Audet, and his beloved brother, Joseph Deselle.
Calling hours will be on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A prayer service will take place on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10 am in the funeral home.
Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
