Helen L. Coffey, 84, of Bear Hill Road, Cumberland, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Brookdale Nursing Home in Cumberland. She was the widow of John J. Coffey.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ernest J. and Helen M. (Gould) Gervais. She had lived in Smithfield before moving to Cumberland.
Before her retirement she worked as the office manager for WH Edwards and later the former Crafford Precision Products in East Providence.

She is survived by her children: Donna Hicks and her husband, Richard, of Warwick, Denise Coffey of Smithfield, John J. “Jack” Coffey, Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Cumberland, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Daniel Hicks and his wife, Stacia and their daughters: Mikenzie and Kailey, Susan Zincone and her sons: David and Brandon, Ashley Robertson and her husband, Michael, Kimberly Aspeel and her husband, Joshua and their son: Lincoln, Kelly Pickering and her husband, Kyle and their daughter: Payton, Timothy Coffey, and his wife, Kathryn, and their son: Teddy and Paige Coffey and her siblings: Marilyn E. Healion, of Stony Brook, NY and Donald Gervais of Vero Beach, FL and Warren. She was the grandmother of the late Chrissy Hicks.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm.
