Peggy B. Dunaway, 84, of Derry, NH passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 2, 1933 in Greenville, SC, a daughter of the late Claridge and Clara (Walford) Deshields. Peggy was an amazing Officer’s Wife to Thomas Cleveland Bass (Ret. Lt. Col, USAF) for 34 years. She was active in many organizations across the Shreveport, LA and Derry, NH areas. She was a member of the P.E.O. and the DAR, as well as the Colonial Dames. Peggy will be remembered for her southern hospitality as a gracious host and wonderful, creative cook. She loved to travel. Once Peggy met you and became your friend, you were friends for life.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth L. LeBlanc and her husband Robert and Kathe J. Lopez, as well as one grandson, Thomas Cress. She was predeceased by her second husband Lee Dunaway, formerly of Shreveport, LA.
There are no calling hours. Private services will be held by the family at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please buy yourself something special. Her favorite hobby was shopping!
