In Mills River, N.C., Edward Fraga, age 81, passed away peacefully at the Lodge at Mills River while surrounded by his loving family. Edward was the husband of the late Sheila (Galligan) Fraga. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Antonio & Etelvina (Bertao) Fraga and was a resident of Asheville, N.C. and formerly of Taunton and Carver, MA. Ed attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Monsignor Coyle High School. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Edward was employed as an engineering assistant at Texas Instruments in Attleboro. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and New England sports and above all cherished his time with family. Ed was predeceased by his son Paul and survived by two sons, Stephen Fraga and his wife Lynn of Fairfax Station, VA and Brian Fraga and his wife Dawn of Fletcher, N.C. as well as 4 grandchildren Ryan, Gabrielle, Meghan and Kyle Fraga. He also leaves his siblings, George Fraga of Collegeville, PA, Alfred Fraga of Naples, FL, Paul Fraga of Fort Myers Beach, FL, Helen Annunziato of Mansfield and Ethel Fraga of Taunton, his late siblings, Delfina Fraga, Sister Mary Fraga, S.S.D., Antone, Joseph, Louis and Reverend Bento Fraga. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, February 6th at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Monday from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
