Joseph Edward Cunha, Jr, 76, of Smithfield, died Friday, January 26th, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph Edward Cunha and Georgianna Frances (Arnold) Vincent. He had worked as a foreman in the Narragansett Grey Iron Foundry in Esmond, RI until his retirement in 2002. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was an avid golfer and NASCAR racing fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa M. Schooley of North Attleboro, MA , Donna L. Cournoyer of Franklin, MA, Paula J. Schultz of Warwick and Deborah A. Cunha of Providence, as well as his seven beloved grandchildren, his siblings, Joan L. Smith, and Dennis A. Cunha and his half-brother, Anthony M. Vincent. He is predeceased by his former wife, Joyce Marie (Sorel) Godin.
