Lynn Wilcox, 59, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, February 4, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with her friends sharing.
Mrs. Wilcox was born May 20, 1958, in Rochelle, Georgia, to the late William Gainey Chaney and Thelma Spires Chaney Padgett. She was a homemaker and also worked for the City of Ocilla as a meter reader and she worked for Quality Peanut in the lab. Mrs. Wilcox was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 5 years, Greg Wilcox of Fitzgerald; two daughters: Christi Caton Fletcher & Hugh of Brinson and Amber Croft White & Joshua of Ocilla; stepchildren: Misty Moore of Cordele and Stephanie Frazier & Tim of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Aaron Hampton, Jace White, Jett White, Miley Frazier, Riley Frazier, Laiken Frazier and Dallas Frazier; great-grandchildren: Noah Hampton, Lakyn Hampton and Abel Hampton; siblings: Elvin “Al” & Susan Chaney of Thomasville, Debbie Whitaker of Fitzgerald, Tom & Bem Chaney of Charlotte, North Carolina and Tracy & Nick Heath of Willacoochee and her step-father, Delano Padgett of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alesia Chaney Paulk.
