Virginia "Kay" (Burris) Stevens, 79, of Chesterfield, died unexpectedly January 30, 2018.
She was born November 30, 1938 in Noblesville, IN the daughter of E. Frank and Dortha (Gintert) Burris and graduated from Jackson Central High School in Arcadia in 1956.
She worked in the Hamilton County Auditor's Office, then after moving to Anderson, worked in Madison County Treasurer's office and later retired from Rowland Title Company. Following retirement, she worked for Home Instead Health Care.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Church where she was a member of the Miriam Circle, Fresh Start Sunday School class and was active with the Care ministry.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest E. "Ernie" Stevens of Chesterfield, two daughters, Leslie Stevens of Anderson and Lora (Mark) Lynch of Carmel; four granddaughters, Natalie (Ben) Iliff; Kelsey Lynch, Kirby Lynch and Melanie Lynch; great-granddaughter, Mila Kay Iliff; two sisters, Suzanne Hopkins of Greencastle and Norma Lou (Ken) Rasnake of Heritage Lake, IN; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; devoted dog, Molly
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Monday February 5 at Cicero Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Christian Church.
