Virginia “Ginny” A. Schabowski, age 59, passed away on Jan 22, 2018. She was born in Stafford, CT on April 20, 1958 to the late John E. and Catherine (Landy) Messemer. She worked for many years as a CNA then as a Medical Assistance. She leaves her loving husband Allan Schabowski of Springfield; one son Jeffrey Robare and his wife Shannon of Chicopee; 4 step sons Jonathan Schabowski of Ware, Michael Schabowski of Chicago and Tim and Randy Robare; 2 step daughters Kimberly Schabowski of MI and Jenna Gargulio of Springfield; one brother Jack Messemer and his wife Donna of FL; one sister-in-law Maria Messemer of CT, 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her 2 companions Cujo and Cooper. She was predeceased by her son Matthew Taylor and her brother Steve Messemer. Calling Hours will be held on Sat. Feb 3, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee.
