John M. Arthur, age 61, devoted husband and father passed away on Tuesday January 16, 2018 in Tampa, Florida he was formerly of Rockland, Massachusetts.
John was a machinist and retired from TNCO in 1995. His hobbies included target shooting and strategy games. He was also an avid music fan. He moved to Florida in 2001.
John was predeceased by his wife Christine (Young) Arthur and children Denise and Joshua. John was also predeceased by his parents Grace and John T. Arthur, his sister Laura and sister-in-law Nancy Nichols. He is survived by his brother Michael, sisters Lisa Arthur and Linda Taylor, sisters-in-law Marilyn, Carol and Kathleen Young and Grace Williams as well as dear friend Carol Katz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and Aunt Janette Cobb.
Funeral services will be held on Friday February 2nd at 10:00AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in the Holy Family Church, Rockland. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 1st from 4:00-6:00PM.
