Catherine B. “Cathy” Larence, 74, of Manville died Thursday January 25, 2018 at The Holiday in Manville. She was the loving wife of Maurice A. “Moe” Larence.
Born in Pawtucket she was a daughter of the late James and Florence (Greenwood) Mills. She was raised in Pawtucket and resided in Manville for many years.
Cathy worked at Consolidated Auto Screen, Balfour Jewelry Co., The Holiday and Mt. St. Rita Health Care Center and was later employed at Atlantic House in Narragansett before retiring.
Cathy was talented at crafts, in particular making beads. Her green thumb was evident in the annual flower garden in which she took great delight.
In addition to her husband, Cathy is survived by her brothers Lenny Mills of Rehoboth, Arthur Mills of Providence and Richard Mills of Pawtucket. She was the sister of the late Albert and James Mills. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St. Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
