James P. McCusker, a Malden Police Officer, passed away in the company of his loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice. He was 48. Raised in Westford, he graduated from Westford Academy and earned his bachelor’s degree from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. A loving husband and father, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family whether taking his son driving or bringing his daughter to hockey. A member of the Winchester Elks Lodge, Jim enjoyed having fun with his many friends and colleagues.
The beloved husband of Leslie (Orlandino), he was a devoted and loving father to Brendan and Gianna McCusker. The dear son of Robert and Ann (Walsh) McCusker of Westford and dear son-in-law of Gerry and Faust Freda of Medford, he was a devoted brother of Edward, Kevin, Robert, Matthew and Richard McCusker, and leaves many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, February 1st at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
