Kathleen "Annie" (Van Popple) Longo of Somerville died on Friday, January 26. Born in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ann (Dooley) Van Popple.
Annie was the beloved wife of the late Edmund L. Longo, and devoted mother of Edward L. Longo and wife Anita of Tewksbury, Stephen E. Longo and wife Pamela of Medford, and Louis R. Longo of Somerville. She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer Longo of Medford, Gregory Longo and wife Tina of Wilmington, Alicia Truesdell and husband Christian of San Diego, CA, Jason Narkiewich of Haverhill, and Christian Narkiewich of Uxbridge. Annie was the loving great grandmother of Ava and Owen Longo, and Christina Narkiewich, and sister of the late Avis and husband Charles Kane, and the late John Van Popple. Aunt of Susan Coleman and husband Robert of Tewksbury, Charlene Higonenq and husband Christophe of Melrose, Michael Kane and wife Laurie of Woburn. Great aunt of Siobhan Coleman, Taylor Kane, Charlie and Caroline Higonenq.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, January 31 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Tuesday, January 30, from 4 through 8 PM.
