Mrs. Angelina M. Caggiano, a longtime Woburn resident passed peacefully January 26, 2018, at the Winchester Nursing Center following a short period of declining health. She was 90 years of age. Angelina was the beloved wife of the late Frederick P. Caggiano. Born in Boston she was one of six children of the late Pietro and Antonina (Cammarata) Chiarello.
Angelina was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished being a wonderful homemaker and supporting her family from when her children were young through their adult lives and then being there to help with the grandchildren. She was always instilling in them the quality values of being a close family and being good people. Angelina loved to cook, hosting the holidays with all the traditional foods and she especially loved hosting Christmas Eve and preparing the traditional Italian seven fish diner.
When retirement came, Angelina and her husband moved to New Port Richey, Florida where they enjoyed 15 wonderful years before moving back to Woburn to be closer to family. For many years they were active with the Winchester Sons of Italy and were quite the team on the dance floor and also enjoyed bowling.
Angelina is survived by her children, Michael F. Caggiano of Tewksbury, Doreen A. Flowers and her husband Anthony of Woburn, and Janet L. Caggiano of Oakley, CA. She was the loving grandmother of Jonathan Flowers and his wife Casey, Jennifer Flowers, David and Monica Caggiano and the loving great grandmother of Gia Flowers. She is sadly predeceased by her siblings, Rose Rindone, Marion Pagliarulo, Nunzio, Frank and Guy Chiarello. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Thursday, February 1st, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., WOBURN, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, from 5 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
