Obituary

CHICOPEE – John M. Lizotte, 52, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, January 26, 2018. He passed into Eternal Life at the Harmony House in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family and his wonderful caregivers. He was born in Holyoke on April 1, 1965, a beloved son of Gisele (Bernatchez) Lizotte of Wilbraham and the late Robert M. Lizotte. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee schools and had lived in Chicopee most of his life. He served his country in the United States Navy and attained the rank of Mess Specialist Seaman Apprentice. He furthered his education and graduated culinary school. He was employed as a cook for many years at the Lucky Strike Restaurant in Chicopee. Always a hard worker, John often shared many of his corny jokes with everyone and could always be found playing games on his cell phone on his down time. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his many dear friends. In addition to his mother, he leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Dina T. (Milillo) Lizotte; his loving daughter, Samantha Amberman of New York; his two loving step-children, Andrew Beiser and Kristine Beiser, both of Chicopee; his cherished granddaughter, Anabella Beiser; his two dear sisters, Carole J. Tardif and her husband, Hughes, of Wilbraham and Sandra Nadeau and her husband, Mark, of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Lizotte, Milillo and Bernatchez families. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
