Charles H. Lally, 83, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 27, 2018 at Hathaway Manor. Born in Newton, MA, he was the son of the late Henry and A. Eleanor Lally.
He is survived by his wife Linda; 3 sons: Charles MacKinnon and his companion Lynn, Mark Lally and his wife Susan and Steven Lally and his companion Brittney; 2 daughters: the late Sheila Levesque and Elizabeth Neto and her husband Stephen; 9 grandchildren: Jared Lally and his companion Lindsay, Michael Levesque and his fiancé Colleen Picard, Kalli and Nathaniel MacKinnon, Jenna, Chloe, Braely and Myles Neto and Juliana Lally; and 2 great grandchildren: Chace and Oliver Taber-Lally.
Chuck was proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He also enjoyed coaching youth, serving on the Veterans Advisory Board, serving his church and being a radio jazz personality. He was a practical joker, a semi-pro bowler and he loved all sports. Chuck was very proud of the accomplishments of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of the caregivers at Hathaway Manor for the wonderful, compassionate care they provided for our dad.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Dartmouth.
