Mrs. Wanda Horne Snowden, 58, beloved wife of Matthew Snowden, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. DeWayne Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Snowden, known to some of her friends as “Candy”, had retired as the beverage manager at the Pinnacle Club. She enjoyed spending time at the lake camping, swimming, sunbathing and fishing. She was a gardener, and also loved cooking and baking, and took great joy in her beloved pets.
In addition to her husband, Matthew, she is survived by her daughter, Michelle Leigh Ligon (Eric), her grandchildren; Thomas Eugene Davis and Victoria Madison Davis, her brother, Tommy Archer, her sisters; Deborah Ann Beasley and Donna Jean Butler, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her sweet canine companion, Cromwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; Wallace Eugene and Rose Yvonne Horne and her sisters; Karen Reyes and Judy Dudley Silvey.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, February 2, 2018 from 6:30 until 8:30.
