Anne (Walsh) Connell, 93, of Whitman, formerly of Braintree, passed away peacefully, Friday January 26, 2018. Beloved wife of the late John H. Connell, Anne was the loving mother of Mike Connell of Fall River, Gary Connell and his wife, Marilyn, of Braintree, Maryanne Gosselin of Weymouth, Brian Connell and his wife, Lynda, of Whitman, John Connell, Jr. of Whitman, Thomas Connell of Whitman and the late David Connell of Braintree. Anne was the cherished sister of the late Rita Lundell, Theresa Hanrahan, Mary Lang, Thomas Walsh and John Walsh. In addition to her children, Anne is survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anne enjoyed spending time with her large family and especially cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, bingo, tending to her home and ceramics. At 93, she was still playing Bingo at Care One in Weymouth. Her family will forever miss her gentle nature and her kindness.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday January 31 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday January 30 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
