BUCKLEY, Norma A. (Alexander) 80 of Orleans, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018 with her youngest daughter at her side. Formerly of Needham, Cape Cod and Naples, Florida.
Devoted and loving wife of 67 years to Paul F. Buckley, Sr. Mother of Donna Desrosiers of North Eastham, Paul Buckley Jr. of Kezar Lake, Maine and Naples, FL. and Lorna L. Steinruck of Eastham. Proud grandmother of Summer Steinruck, Amy Cook and Amanda Kotthaus.
Born in Dorchester, September 6, 1937 to Norman and Marie Alexander.
Longtime Needham resident, where she graduated Needham High School, married and later raised her family. Graduate of Tufts NE School of Dentistry as a dental assistant.
Norma’s true loves were her husband, family, gardening and the beaches where she spent much of her limited leisure time.
Norma’s family is deeply appreciative for the exceptional care she received the last nine years from the wonderful professionals at The Terraces in Orleans, where she dealt with Alzheimer’s Disease with as much dignity as possible.
A Christian Memorial Mass will celebrate Norma’s life on Saturday March 3 at 11:00AM at Saint Joan of Arc Church in Orleans, MA. Burial will be private.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers and cards, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, any charity which benefits children’s needs, or your local “Food Bank”.
