TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Antonetta G. (DeMattia) DiCesare, age 94, died peacefully in the care of her beloved family and hospice at her Tewksbury home on Tuesday afternoon, January 23rd. She was the wife of the late Dominic N. DiCesare, who died in 1997.
She was born in Boston one of three children of the late Anthony and Palmira (Cafferelli) DeMattia and raised in Boston. In her earlier years, she worked at the Boston Navy Yard, but after her marriage and move to Tewksbury, worked in the School Nutrition Programs at the Lowella Dewing School and the former Junior High, now the John Wynn Middle School in Tewksbury.
She leaves two daughters, Linda Ames of Medford, and Antoinette and her husband John Jasilewicz of Tewksbury, with whom she resided; four grandchildren, Angela Figueroa and her husband Abraham, Heather McCarthy and her husband Edward, John Jasilewicz, Ryan Ames and his wife Ashley; six great grandchildren, Abraham, Juana, Janessa, Brady, Lucas, and Riley; and was predeceased by her siblings, Josephine DeMattia and Anthony DeMattia.
