Charles Emmett, ”Charlie” Horlander 89, passed away peacefully Thursday January 18, 2018. He was a caring and devoted husband and father with a great sense of humor and love for life. Charles had a long career as a barber, working until the age of 87. He was a Flaget graduate and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Charles was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 29th, 1928.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Margaret Horlander; brothers, Lee and Harold; daughterin-law, Ann Horlander.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 67 years Mary Horlander; son, Dennis Horlander, daughters, Sandra Roberts (Robert), Stephanie Vance; sisters, Dorothy Steinmetz and Lillian Morrissey; grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Jennifer, Robbie (Allison), Brett (Stephanie) Brittany, Alexys, Amber; great grandchildren, Caleb, Clayton, Charly, Cory.
The family has chosen cremation. Owen Funeral Home.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
