Joel B. Richardson, 57, of Beverly, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 18, 2018, following a long illness. He was the son of Susan M. Zorn of Salem and the late Bruce E. Richardson.
Born in Rahway, NJ , he was raised in Wellesley and Beverly. Joel was a graduate of Beverly High School , Class of ’78 and was Captain of the BHS Track Team. He attended Williams College and received his BA Degree in Business Administration from Boston University. For many years he worked as a data processor in banking in Boston’s financial district.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four sisters, Amy D. Richardson of San Francisco, CA, R. Stephanie Teraoka of Mililani, Hawaii, Julie M. Flavell of Dundee, Scotland, Abigail S. Richardson-Atkins of Beverly, his brother, Ethan J. Richardson of Salem, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service at Tabernacle Church in Salem, corner of Washington & Federal Streets in Salem on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tabernacle Church in Salem, 50 Washington St., Salem, MA 01970.
