Christopher R. Morris passed away on Sunday, January 21st. He was 47. Born and raised in Medford, he was the loving son of Diane (Corliss) and the late Robert Morris. Chris graduated from Medford High School in 1989 and worked with his father in the canteen truck business and later operated his own truck. In recent years, he worked with Local 22 laborers union. Chris loved hockey. He was a staunch Bruins fan and held seasons tickets. He was a fixture at Medford’s hockey rinks where he coached youth and recreational hockey and was dedicated to generations of children. Chris was renowned as a fireworks enthusiast and enjoyed putting on shows for family and friends. He loved the ocean, fishing, scuba diving and was a Disney fanatic.
The beloved husband of Maureen (Solberg), Chris was a devoted father to Caitlin and Ashley Morris, both of N. Andover. He is survived by his dogs, Sabbath, Ozzy and the late Bear. He was a dear brother to Lisa Caso, Jennifer Logan and Eric Morris and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, January 27th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Interment private.
