Obituary

William D. "Bill" Bowser, 95, life long Anderson resident, passed away at home on January 20, 2018.

Bill was born on January 7, 1923 in Anderson, the son of William Henry and Wilma (Boyd) Bowser. He was a 1941 graduate of Anderson High School and attended Ball State University and Anderson College. He served as a B-25 bomber pilot in the Army Air Corp during WW II. Bill served as President of the Bright Corp. since 1946. He was a member of the Mounds Kiwanis Club and was proud of his nearly 50 years of perfect attendance. He also served as president of the Board of Pensions for the Church of God. He grew up attending Park Place Church of God for many years and recently was attending Madison Park Church of God. Bill enjoyed playing golf and was a founding member of the Bowser Bogey Busters.

He is survived by his two children, Debby (husband Dan) Curless of Columbia City and Steve (wife Carla) Bowser of Anderson; 5 grandchildren Jessica (husband Justin) Banks, Johnathon (wife Amy) Curless, Colin Bowser, Autumn Elsworth and Leslie Elsworth; six great grandchildren, Andrew, Lily, Gabriel, Jasie, Ashton and Faith; a sister, Doris ( husband Kenneth) McCreary and a brother, Edward L. ( wife Ruth) Bowser all of Anderson, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and his cherished caregiver, Aysel and her son , Quinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Louise Bowser.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Park Place Church of God officiated by Dr. David Markle. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service on Saturday, January 27th from 2- 5 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be given to Man 4 Man Ministries or A.L.S. Research.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many caregivers who lovingly cared for Bill through the years.
