CHICOPEE – Richard J. Gagne, 56, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, January 20, 2018. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by a lifetime of cherished memories. He was born in Springfield on March 25, 1961, a beloved son of Daniel J. Gagne of Chicopee and the late Roberta E. (Fish) Gagne who was Called Home on January 22, 2013. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. He worked in shipping and receiving, most recently for XPO Logistics in Chicopee. Besides his father, Richard is survived by his loving son, Kyle J. Gagne of Athens, TN; his dear brother, David J. Gagne and his wife, Cynthia, of East Longmeadow; his dear sister, Kimberly R. Kennedy and her partner, Mario Gonzalez, of Cleveland, OH; his three dear nephews, Daniel and Dylan Gagne and Ryan Peacey; his dear niece, Megan Peacey; and his three dear grand-nieces, Addison, Aubree and Penelope Peacey. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
