SPRINGFIELD – Laurie Ann (Flannery) Rohan, 56, of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, January 18, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on November 7, 1961, a beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Noonan) Flannery. A lifelong resident of Springfield, Laurie graduated from Cathedral High School in 1978 and also graduated from the Jolie Beauty Academy in West Springfield. She was a loving homemaker and showered her family and friends with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was a friend of Bill W. and had a very strong spirit. She also was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Hope Church in Springfield. Laurie leaves her two loving children, Patrick M. Rohan of Amherst and Elizabeth A. Rohan of Springfield; her former husband, James R. Rohan of Springfield; her two loving sisters, Mary Flannery of Hatfield and Eileen Heffernan of Springfield; her brother-in-law, James Heffernan of Springfield; her three cherished nieces, Kelly Heffernan of Springfield, Kristen Ahearn of Hatfield and Jennifer Flannery of Virginia; her cherished nephew, Vincent Flannery of Colorado. She will also be fondly remembered by her many dear grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Flannery and Rohan families. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Laurie on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 12 Noon at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104. Her Burial will be private at the convenience of her family. Her arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
