Obituary

Pearl V. (Guilmet) Peruffo, 91 of Marblehead, and formerly of Salem passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Salem Fire Department Captain, Tulio J. Peruffo.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Ida (Pinette) Guilmet. Pearl was a stay at home mom who delighted in caring for her family. She particularly loved their family vacations. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed bingo and trips to Foxwoods.

She is survived by her son, retired Salem Fire Department Captain, Joseph J. Peruffo and his wife Adele of Salem, and daughter, Lainey P. Sullivan and her husband Joseph, four grandchildren, Christina Forestier of Malden, Anthony ‘AJ’ Peruffo of Beverly, Kerri Sullivan Goolsby of Marblehead, Daniel Sullivan of Swampscott, seven great-grandchildren, Samantha, Olivia & Max Forestier of Malden, Anthony & Ashton Peruffo of Beverly and Mason Goolsby of Marblehead. She also leaves her brother, Phillip Guilmet of Carmichael, CA as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roger & Roland Guilmet and sister, Lorraine Rheaume.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem. There will be no visiting hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimensions, Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
