FALL RIVER – Charles C. Medeiros, age 88 of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Delores (Souza) Medeiros and the son of the late Marianno P. Medeiros & Adeline (Cavaco) Medeiros. Prior to retiring, Charles worked for the Naval Underwater Systems, Newport, RI as an Electrical Planner & Estimator. During his retirement, he worked as a substitute teacher in the electrical department at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School.
Charles was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the VFW of Tiverton, a Third Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Boeher Council, a member of the Our Lady of Health Holy Name Society, and a member of the Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School Electrical Advisory Board for over 30 years.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his 3 children: Charles J. Medeiros (wife Alyson) of Fall River, Mark Medeiros (wife Maria Grace) of Bristol, RI, and Deborah M. Kenney (husband William) of Fall River; 2 grandchildren: Adam C. Medeiros (wife Amy) & Kathryn E. Kenney; many nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Silva, Americo, Octavio, Herculano, & Celestino Medeiros.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dialysis Center of Fall River, 221 Weaver St., Fall River, MA 02720.
Following cremation, calling hours will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. with a service at 12:30 P.M. Private Interment in MA National Cemetery.
