WEBSTER – Walter S. Nadolny, 89, of Avon, CT, formerly of Webster, died Saturday, Oct. 29, in Avon. His first wife of 17 years, Regina T. (Nawrocki) Nadolny, died in 1958. His second wife of 41 years, Anna V. (Vanco) Nadolny, died in 2000.
He leaves 2 daughters, Adria M. Barton of Talent, Oregon, and Mary R. Wendell and her husband Mark A. of Farmington, CT; a sister, Stasia Klun of Cape Cod; 2 grandchildren, Dawn and Ross Wendell of Farmington, CT; nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by a brother Stephen and 2 sisters, Ann Stodolski and Helen Leszczynski.
He was born in Clinton, the son of Stanislaw and Julianna (Kulis) Nadolny. He lived in Webster for 57 years before moving to Farmington. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II
Mr. Nadolny worked as a machinist at American Steel and Wire, at Windle Manufacturing in Millbury, and at Wyman-Gordon Company, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, walking, bird watching, and most of all spending time with his family.
The funeral, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling hour will be from 9:15 to l0:15 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Saint Lucian’s Residence and Brightview Nursing home for the care given to their father.
