Camile Marie Norris (Blotner) passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Saturday at the age of 64. Raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Carmella (DeFranco) Blotner. A Somerville resident until the past few years, Camile worked as a claims auditor with Risk Management Foundation, CRICO. A loving and fun mother, grandmother and friend, Camile enjoyed going out with her family and friends. She enjoyed bingo, concerts and the theater. Camile was also a big Patriot’s fan and made sure everyone in the family was regaled in Patriot’s gear on game day. Camile was a life-long Rod Stewart fan and attended all of his concerts throughout New England. She enjoyed all kinds of music and musical theatre. Camile was equally in her element at a Broadway show, Toby Keith, LL Cool J or Rod Stuart Concert. She loved the Beatles, the Stones and John Lennon. Most of all she loved her family and lived her life for the benefit of her kids and grandson.
The beloved mother of John L. Norris III, and Jennifer Norris-Griffith and her fiancé Adam Nagle, all of Everett, she was a loving grandmother to William Griffith, Jr. She was a dear sister to Joseph Blotner and his wife Marie of Carver, Mark Blotner and his wife Ann of Melrose and also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, January 25th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne Street, Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4 – 8 PM.
