Obituary

John Joseph Pepka, 68, formerly of Natick passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Lutheran Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Worcester after a long illness. He was the beloved son of the late Clement and Anna (Greene) Pepka.

John was a devoted Catholic, and a gifted musician. He served in the Navy for two years, and attended the Navy School of Music. He was featured on a televised Biblical program in New Hampshire that was well received by the community. John enjoyed playing pool as a young man. He was an avid bicyclist and hiker, and he loved to travel in his car.

He is survived by two brothers Reverend Edward Pepka of Citrus Heights, California and Robert Pepka of West Boylston. He was preceded in death by his third brother, James Pepka, in March of 2017. John is also survived by his sister Mary Anne Thomas and her husband Arend Thomas of Weed, California, nieces Sara Espinet of Portland, Oregon, and Amanda Thomas, and grandnephew Orion Rain of Mt. Shasta, California.

John in also survived by his Uncle and Godfather, Richard Greene of Ashland and many, many cousins.

There will be a vigil for John on Tuesday, January 23 from 5:00 -8:00 PM at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home on Park St. in Natick. A Celebration of Mass for John will be Wednesday, January 24th at 11:30, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Natick. Burial Services will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery on Pond Street in Natick.
