Mary R. (Hayden) Rebello, 82, of Franklin, died peacefully, Saturday January 20, 2018 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of George Rebello, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Born January 11, 1936 in Albany, NY a daughter of the late Robert S. and Margaret M. (Powers) Hayden, she was a former resident of Holliston, before moving to Franklin many years ago.
She was raised and educated in Saratoga Springs, NY and was a graduate of Dean Jr. College in Franklin, MA. She worked as a secretary in the insurance industry. Mary was a devoted wife and mother to her sons.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to Aruba and reading. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Chestnut Ridge Women’s Group.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, George M. (Mike) Rebello and his wife Sandra of Fredericksburg, VA; Robert W. Rebello and his wife Hilary of Bellingham, MA; Stephen E. Rebello and his wife Christine of Franklin, MA; David M. Rebello of Oxford, MA; and Brian T. Rebello and his wife Donna of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Margaret McCarty of Crofton, MD; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Eugene P. Hayden.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday Jan. 25th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square at 10AM.
Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Jan. 24th, from 4-8PM.
