Mrs. Doris Crook Martin, beloved wife of the late Benjamin F. Martin, entered into rest on Friday, January 19, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Platts Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Dr. K.C. Stevens, Tim Silvey and Rev. Matthew Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Martin was born in Pendergrass, Georgia to Feddie Lee and Tallulah Pearl Crook. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church before becoming a member at Parkway Baptist. She drew strength from her daily walk with God, and was happiest at home surrounded by family.
She is survived by her children; Kenneth Franklin Martin, Kathryn Martin Corbin (John), Ransom Whelchel Martin (Karen), Rachel Martin Miles (Kenneth), and David Henry Martin (Joy), her grandchildren; Cindy Martin, Ken Martin, Benjamin Martin, Kenny Miles, Katie Miles Smith, David Martin, Jack Martin, Doris Jean Martin, Tim Silvey, Robin Beach, Brian Silvey and Rodney Silvey as well as fourteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, her parents, Feddie and Pearl, and her nine brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
