Wanda Jean Westberry (Miner)
LIMINGTON- Wanda passed peacefully surrounded by love on January 18 after a valiant fight against cancer. In her own words, Wanda never regretted a day of her life. She was born October 29, 1960 at Brighton Osteopathic center in Portland, Maine. She spent most of her life in the Standish and Limington area. In 1979, she started school at the University of Maine- Fort Kent. In 1980, she had her daughter and moved back home. She got her degree in landscaping and botany from SMCC and held a variety of jobs throughout her life, including Fairchild Semiconductor and Staples. She married the love of her life, Charles Westberry, in August of 2002. Wanda is predeceased by her Father, Donald H. Miner and her brothers Peter and Jeffrey Miner. Wanda’s memory is held dear by her husband Charles of Limington, her daughter Carisa Miner of Denmark, Maine, her mother Saldra Miner of Steep Falls, her siblings, Brenda Abbott of Steep Falls, Michael Miner of China, and Donald K. Miner of Steep Falls. She will always be loved by her grandsons, Draven Fiori and Lucian Hammer of Denmark, Maine and by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, her extended family, and many friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held Saturday Jan. 27 at 1 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St. (Rt. 25) in Cornish. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the Poitras Funeral Homes website, www.mainefuneral.com
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers for the memorial- please plant some flowers in her memory. Please send any monetary donations in her memory to the Cancer Research Institute (www.cancerresearch.org), or to the American Bird Conservancy (www.abcbirds.org)
