TEWKSBURY - Frank Vincent Antico, age 71, a former industrial “head-hunter,” died peacefully Friday morning, January 19, at Blaire House of Tewksbury. Frank’s life was forever changed in a 1981 automobile accident that left him with permanent brain and mobility injuries.
He was born in Somerville in August 1946, one of three children of the late Francis J and Eleanora (Gori) Antico, and was raised in Medford. After graduation from Medford High School, he matriculated to the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Management.
He had lived in Woburn and Tewksbury most of his adult life.
Frank founded and operated an executive placement agency that served the community of Electrical Engineers and Electrical Technicians in the High-Tech industry. Simultaneously, he and his brother founded and ran a successful commercial office cleaning business in Massachusetts. Frank was unable to continue his career following his accident.
He leaves a sister, Elvira “Vera” O’Connor and her husband Richard “Dick” O’Connor of Dracut; a brother, Francis J. Antico Jr. and his wife Patricia (Murphy) of Billerica; two nephews, Robert Antico and Christopher Antico both of Billerica; and was predeceased by his nephew Michael Antico and niece Marie O’Connor. His funeral will begin Wednesday at 10:30 from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 11:30 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.
